Buck Rogers and Ninja Turtles

What does Buck Rogers have to do with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?  Nothing.  Except that new inventory came in yesterday, including Buck Rogers and TMNT action figures!  These figures are pretty nice, and definitely worth the admittedly high price.  Stay tuned for pics of the figures in hand.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century

The first wave of this line includes Buck, the 20th Century pilot trapped in the 25th Century, and Tigerman, Princess Ardala’s fearsome bodyguard.  The figures are approximately 8 inches tall, the same scale as the Classic Battlestar Galactica figures available here.  The detail on these figures is really nice.  They’re in the classic “Mego” style, with fabric clothing; Tigerman even has a real necklace!  These collector figures are available for $40 each.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This first wave included the four turtles themselves: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael.  The design is based on the cartoon series from the late ’80s (jeez, has it been that long?), and these guys look like they could have jumped right off of the screen.  Each figure is 6 inches tall, includes the turtle’s signature weapons, and is loaded with articulation.  Seriously, these guys have more joints than most action figures I’ve seen, just like you’d expect from a decent ninja.  They’re heavy, too.  They don’t feel cheaply made at all.  These guys are a must for any true TMNT fan.  Pick them up here for $21 each.

Star Wars Black 6-Inch Series 3

HSA4301ClgStar Wars Black 6-Inch Series 3 is coming in January! This series will include a Stormtrooper, Obi-Wan Kenobi as he appeared in Revenge of the Sith, Luke Skywalker in Bespin Fatigues, and Han Solo from A New Hope (the same figure as was in series 2). These figures are very well made and are a great addition to any Star Wars collection. As a side note, if they were going to use a figure from a previous set as filler, I’d have preferred Boba Fett, since he has been more popular than any other figure, but Han is an awesome figure, too.
